Responsible for the oversight, coordination, and administration of the NEWTC Trade Compliance Programs, ensuring compliance with Company policy and government regulations. Provide guidance, instruction, advice and support to internal teams/departments on export compliance matters. Serve as the Empowered Official relative to the submission of Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings within the Automated Export System.

The Trade Compliance Specialist requires working knowledge of the harmonized tariff schedule classification US, Schedule B classifications, and export control classifications. Responsible for all auditing of procedures, recordkeeping and storage of all documentation required by USMCA, trade agreements, FTR, USML, EAR, OFAC, and other state and federal government requirements.

Requirements

• Two years of college plus 1-3 years' experience or equivalent years of education and/or relevant experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
