Position: Social Media and Marketing Manager

Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week) May increase in winter/busy season

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Manager to join our team and help us share the excitement and joy that Jabbers offers to families in our community.

Job Description:

As the Social Media and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing Jabbers' online presence, creating engaging content, and promoting our events and specials. This role is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Social Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, who is looking to gain real-world experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation:
  • Develop and create engaging photo and video content that showcases Jabbers' fun environment and events.
  • Edit and optimize content for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
  • Social Media Management:
  • Manage and maintain all social media channels, ensuring regular updates and engagement with followers.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages on all social media channels.
  • Develop and implement a social media calendar, planning posts around upcoming events, promotions, and holidays.
  • Event Promotion:
  • Create in-house events to engage the community and families with our facility.
  • Promote Jabbers' events and specials across social media, including creating graphics, videos, and posts.
  • Host and run events.
  • Event Participation:
  • Attend outside community events to promote Jabbers and engage with families, future customers.
  • Run booths and games/activities at local events to promote Jabbers locally. 
  • Network with event attendees to promote Jabbers and its services.
  • Grow Jabbers’ outreach/event calendar 
  • Marketing Strategy:
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive traffic to Jabbers.
  • Identify and implement trends and strategies to grow our online presence and customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Social Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Strong photography, videography, and editing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for marketing and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and attend both in-house and outside events as needed.
