Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular & Neurology Manager, the Cardiology tech obtains electrocardiograms, manages and processes EKG data including filing and retrieving patient data. This position works collaboratively with multiple departments and physicians to provide all modalities of stress testing. These technicians are proficient in Holter monitor application and scanning. Cardiology technicians respond to code blue emergency calls providing cardiac monitoring and electrocardiograms. The techs also perform any job related functions (clerical, transportation, training and cleaning), as needed to provide optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved training program. Or equivalent education/experience.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

• Cardiology experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Cardiology internships accepted.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Acute hospital experience performing electrocardiograms, stress testing and Holter monitor application and scanning.
