Job Description

We're looking for scouts to operationalize new cities in a matter of weeks while building and growing our assumable marketplace in new and established markets across the U.S.

Scouts are a critical piece of Roam's success in every market. This is an intense, business-side startup role. There's no such thing as a typical day, and to excel, you can't just be smart - you have to be self-motivated, have exceptional interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and be highly analytical. Our Scouts handle everything from defining partner strategy to acquiring new brokers & listings, as well as iterate on our launch playbook. We're looking for strong performers who can move fast to get things done, have a natural aptitude for blending creativity and drive to devise innovative solutions, and are excited by the idea of bringing Roam to the world. Compensation:
  • Uncapped Commission based
  • $500 per listing activated
  • Can make as much as $7M this year
What does an activated listing mean?

The results are incredible when agents market the assumability of a home properly - [ see here ] - now that this home is marketed appropriately, it'll sell very quickly!

Anyways, what we've learned is that listing agents trust other agents, so I'm drumming up a GTM (go-to-market) team to 'activate' these listings. 'Activating' a listing is what you see in the link above - (1) the Roam pill and interest rate are watermarked + (2) the public remarks inform people to assume the home with Roam.

What you'll do
  • Manage - Create and own workflows that keep launch projects on track from beginning to end to build a successful business foundation.
  • Strategize - Consistently innovate and execute on unique strategies for agent, buyer, and seller operations in our top priority markets
  • Experiment - Use data-driven decision making and sound business judgment to run tests on everything from seller validation to agent recruitment in new markets.
  • Build - Generate new business by exploring growth opportunities with new and current partners for the Roam's partner programs.
  • Influence - Work cross-functionally with our Operations, Product, Engineering, Business Operations, Sales, BD, and Marketing teams to drive strategic initiatives and improve new market opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent
  • BDR / SDR in high growth tech company
  • Demonstrable success leading initiatives, establishing and achieving goals, and succeeding in a team environment
  • Google Sheets proficient
  • Drive - You're willing to do what it takes to get a market off the ground
Nice to Haves
  • Success executing business development opportunities or negotiating partnerships
  • Experience in a customer-facing or relationship management role is a plus
  • Experience in a high-growth or early-stage start-up is a plus
