Position Highlights:

Job Summary

• The Registered Nurse is accountable for acute and chronic hemodialysis treatments in caring for patients with end stage renal disease.


• Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera’s values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.


• Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate of a registered nursing education program.

• Prefer 6-12 months experience on Dialysis Unit.


• 6 months-1 year of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Must have current RN licensure in the state of SD or “multi-state privilege” to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.


• BLS Certification within 60 days of hire.

Work Schedule

• Rotating Shifts: 4:30 am - 2:00 pm and 5:00 am - 3:30 pm; 48 hours every 2 weeks
  
  
  • Every 3rd weekend (Every 3rd Saturday. Sundays off)
  
  
  • Occasional holiday (Two holidays/year are required)
  
  

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $29.50 - $44.25 per hour
