Job Title: Psych Registered Nurse 
Duration: 13+week Contract(Extendable)
Work Location: Gastonia, NC
Shift Timing: NIGHTS - 12HR: 7p-7a


Pay Range: $1800 - $2000 / weekly

Requirement: 2 years of experience with behavioral health RN

Job Description:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their mental health status, identify psychiatric and behavioral disorders, and assess their physical health.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and counselors, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients. This may involve medication management, therapy, and other interventions.
• Administer and monitor medications prescribed for mental health conditions, including psychotropic medications, and educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues and promote peer support among patients.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling and therapy sessions with patients to address specific mental health concerns and provide emotional support
• Continuously monitor and assess patients' mental and emotional states, documenting changes, progress, and any adverse events in their medical records.
• Implement safety protocols to prevent self-harm or harm to others, including the use of restraints when necessary and in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Requ irements:

• This is for a Psych RN, within the Emergency Department.
• Emergency Room experience

Education:

• State RN License
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
