Physical Security Technology Analyst
The Physical Security Technology Analyst resolves moderate security system projects, develops skills and expertise to resolve security enablement processes and adherence within the OPPD in a moderate scope. Physical Security is accountable for maximizing business value of computer systems and programs used by the Physical Security department. The Physical Security Technology Analyst utilizes their extensive knowledge and experience to position these technology products to adopt, establish and support key business processes. This position supports the Physical Security program to adopt, use and train employees in the assigned technologies. They also act as a change agent who identifies organizational improvement opportunities and assists in improving the Physical Security department.
Responsibilities Accountabilities include:
Business Security Systems
Provide physical security system support across OPPD sites
Work cross-functionally to implement changes across all OPPD to achieve and maintain a consistent physical security systems program
Contributes and maintains alignment with global, national, and regional partners in relation to security systems, policy, procedure, strategic direction, and future business objectives
Supports Operational security functions and business process system solutions, including specification standards, data integrity, and exception handling
Provide recommendations for improvement based on research including new tools, processes, and technologies
Contributes to collection, analyzing and reporting to management on operational metrics
Provide process and system guidance to Operations teams who install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the security systems for the organization
Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant innovative technology, equipment, and/or systems, including lifecycle analysis
Recommends alterations to design, development, implementation, and analysis to improve the quality of products, new technologies, and/or procedures
Leads process improvement projects
Leads multiple tasks within multi-functional projects
Supports and provides input/guidance on design engineering and project planning for new assets and the expansion of existing sites
Training
Identifies training needs and supports the development of training programs to educate personnel on various aspects of security
Responsibilities will include creating training materials relevant to various collaborators across the enterprise, conducting workshops, and staying updated on the latest security threats and standard processes
Effective communication and the ability to tailor training to different audiences is crucial for this role
Ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations and communicate information to diverse audiences
Lead training of newly deployed security systems for guarding and Security Operations functions
Project Management
Responsible for the coordination and completion of security systems projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, and summarizing the progress of the project
Plans and coordinates project scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks
Facilitates projects by conducting meetings, recording meeting minutes/action items, and performing thorough follow-ups
Research and analyze data to evaluate operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems
Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity
Manage lists, libraries, and related workflow
Process Engineering
Serves as a content contributor for the security systems standards, design guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Collects recommendations/input from multi-functional groups to keep SOP's current
Authors a variety of technical security documentation including procedures, articles, reports, and/or user manuals
Adheres to publishing procedures to ensure all documentation is deployed according to established change control processes
