UNM Health Sciences IT (HSIT)Department is looking for a full-time, experienced IT Support Tech 2 within theTechnology Support Services unit. This position will provide frontline ITsupport to Health Sciences faculty, staff, and students both on campus as wellas those working remotely. Thisrole primarily answers incoming calls via the HSIT Service Desk phone line(from our offices on UNM health sciences campus), prepares documentation oftechnology issues, handles troubleshooting and resolution of both Apple MacOSand Microsoft Windows hardware and software components, and assists end userswith their understanding of these components. Additional tasks include; providingsupport at our service desk, Active Directory account management, workstationtroubleshooting, diagnosis, hardware repair, workstation image deployment,encryption services, as well as limited software support. The ideal candidatefor this position should have a strong customer service background, experiencewith: workstation troubleshooting (both over phone and in person), Cherwell orother similar ticketing software, managing and notating technical appointmentsand processes, and translating technical knowledge into end users training, aseducation of end users is needed daily.This position works 100% on campus.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED;at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both Windows and Apple operating systems
- Experienceproviding technical support overthe phone and utilizing remote management tools
- Experiencewith ticketing software and technical IT notation
- Experiencewith customer service
- Experience with Microsoft ADUC console
- Experiencetroubleshooting Windows hardware and software installation
