IAM Security Engineer Location Austin, TX (East Oak Hill area) :

As an Okta engineer, you will proactively work with the rest of the IAM team, CISO, Engineering, Infrastructure, Support, and other functional departments to design, implement, and operate solutions to identify and secure our employee and customer systems access. You will coordinate with the SailPoint engineer on initiatives supporting cybersecurity and business goals. Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain tools/processes to effectively secure our systems' access, SSO, and provisioning.
- Work closely with the rest of the cybersecurity organization to help establish and ensure corporate guidelines and best practices are followed.
- Evaluate and recommend the use of machine learning, AI, and data analytic services to improve the security of our products and environments.
- Stay current on security industry trends and topics and evangelize those concepts within the organization.
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance.
- Continuously monitor and stay abreast of Okta product updates, ensuring our platform remains optimized and current.
- Participate in after-hours support and maintenance activities as required.
Background & Experience: - 2+ years of experience with Okta, including relevant certifications.
- Experience with Azure and on-prem ActiveDirectory
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Ability to take requirements and design, build, test, and deploy solutions.
- Thorough ability to document and operationalize processes & procedures around solutions.
- Familiarity with Sailpoint is a plus.
- Strong team player with an ability to build consensus and drive initiatives forward.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience/certifications
