Ruff Day Resort is looking for a Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our canine guests who stay for the day, week or month with us. Supervising playtime and cleaning will be main responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our guests and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the guests and their people at all times. This is job with early morning shift starting before 7 am! However, we also have afternoon shifts. 4 day work weeks are available for those seeking FT positions.

Responsibilities: 

• Cleaning – Provide housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation of our facility is very important to the well being of our guests. Attention to detail is a must. Feeding and assist with medications. Prepare meals, trim nails and giving baths are all a part of the job. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.
• Events - Professional and energetic personality for educating the public about Ruff Day
• Companionship – Provide companionship by stimulating, exercising, encouraging and assisting our guests with group play, individual play, bedtime stories, tuck in and comfort and playtime.
• Playgroup supervisor - Provide a safe and fun place for our canine friends to play.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma preferred
• Multitasking abilities
• Responsible
• One time
• Reliable
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Minimum 18 hours per week of hours
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
• Ability to move quickly
