job summary:
We have a direct hire opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager who has experience working for a professional services organization providing consulting services to external clients (ideally managing D365 implementations). This is for a company located in San Antonio, TX and although can be remote within Texas must be able to travel to San Antonio as needed and to client sites (about 20% travel).
Our client is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of seven years' experience of related experience required; ten or more years preferred
- Microsoft D365 Implementations or ERP implementations
- Demonstrate knowledge of project structuring and work planning (using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Demonstrate knowledge/understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, ITIL methodologies
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a matrix environment and foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to manage numerous complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to focus on business value results, rather than solutions
- Ability to manage scope change process and issue identification/resolution
- Ability to ensure collaboration and coordination between stakeholders
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

responsibilities:
- Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Serve as project manager on customer technology projects, both on independent projects and/or as part of larger program efforts
- Lead efforts involving work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports within time, budget, and specification constraints
- Demonstrate competency in coordinating all aspects of complex projects in a range of methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in alignment
- Ensure business value realization and optimization, through delivering new capabilities, managing expectations, and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
- Identify and anticipate risks and issues; facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Develop, communicate, and report on project progress to internal and customer stakeholders
- Embrace a team environment to effectively deliver value to our customers
- Educate customers and internal resources about project management best practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
