DMV’s Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a Cloud Developer in the Enterprise Modernization Branch, Modernization Technical Section, System Development & Support Group, Deliverable Review Unit. The incumbent primary role is participating in the development of systems for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the cloud systems to meet the needs of DMV’s DXP.

The incumbent serves as a Cloud developer implementing cloud computing solutions, documenting cloud computing requirements, and translating data between business users and technical developers; and participates in business analytics initiatives and decision-making processes including business, technology, and process improvements. Moreover, the incumbent p articipates in complex business and systems configuration, analysis, testing and the implementation, and on-going administration of key DXP initiatives.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

Working Conditions

DMV operates 24/7. The incumbent may be required to carry a work cell phone and laptop. There may also be times when the incumbent is required to attend an out-of-town conference, or work evenings and weekends to maintain project schedules.

Telework is available. Telework requires California residency.

This position may be required to occasionally report to the designated office location in DMV headquarters at 2415 First Avenue, Sacramento, California, 95818 . Travel expenses related to reporting to designated office is employee’s own responsibility and is not eligible for reimbursement.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience in using GitHub and Microfocus ALM/Octane.
• Experience in application development in cloud computing environments like AWS using SQS, Node.js, React.js, JSON, and the like technologies.
• Experience in UiPath, Salesforce CRM, Microsoft .Net framework., MS SQL Server, and/or Oracle Database.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to develop specific artifacts such as business capability maps, value streams, and customer journey maps to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a cloud computing development knowledge base.
• Possess strong analytical, creative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented team player who can consistently provide valuable suggestions and solutions in the delivery of products and services for the DMV’s Digital eXperience Platform.
• Can think both as a businessperson and a technical expert.
